Description
The Ward Mountain Recreation Area of Humboldt National Forest in central Nevada holds this dispersed corridor at roughly 7,200 feet, with well-spaced sites spreading about half a mile up a forest service road from the US 6 turnoff. Sites are generously separated, most with established fire rings, and the road is accessible enough for a range of rigs with easy entry from the highway. Ely is about 15 minutes away for resupply, and Great Basin National Park is a little over an hour out — making this a natural basecamp for the region.
