Description
Tikaboo Valley high desert stretches wide and flat in this remote corner of Nevada BLM land, with unobstructed horizon views in every direction and Joshua Trees dotting the surrounding terrain. A washboarded dirt road leads roughly two miles off the highway to a short spur, ending in a small flat loop that sits set back from the track — far enough that passing traffic and free-roaming cattle are barely a distraction. Skies here are exceptionally dark and open, and the valley goes almost completely quiet after the wind settles at dusk; occasional military jets transiting the area are part of the local atmosphere.
