Victory Lake - Fremont Lakes SRA is located near Ames, Nebraska, featuring flat terrain with a mix of grasslands and water bodies. The area experiences temperatures ranging from 20°F in winter to 85°F in summer. Campers can explore nearby Fremont Lakes State Recreation Area, which offers opportunities for fishing, boating, and hiking.

**Attractions**  
One of eastern Nebraska's most popular recreation areas, Fremont has about 40 land acres and nearly 300 water acres in 20 sandpit lakes. Located three miles west of Fremont, this is a favorite area with campers, picnickers and water enthusiasts - from boating to fishing to water skiing. The swimming beach is unsupervised, and there is a PWC area, as well as a handicap accessible fishing pier. **Campground Notes**  
Fremont State Recreation Area's campgrounds offer hard surfaced pads, situated among mature shade trees. Modern shower/latrine buildings and drinking water are conveniently located. There are showers, trailer dump stations and water are available. Fishing, boating, swimming beach, picnicking and primitive camping is also available in the park.

Camping reservations may be made a minimum of three days in advance of arrival and a maximum of 180 days in advance of arrival.  
  
**CHECK IN AND OUT SCHEDULE- If you check out early, the unused portion of your payment will be forfeited.**  
  

- Non Licensed motorized vehicles are not allowed.
- Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Generators may not be operated during these hours. Pets are allowed, but they must be kept on a leash that is no longer than 6 feet. 
- Campers staying over must re-register by 2 p.m. 
- Check in time is 4 p.m. and check out time is 2 p.m. 
- Campers must vacate their campsite no later than 2:00 p.m. on the date the camping reservation or registration expires. All persons entering the campground must be registered.
- No cancellation of arrival date on year to date reservations.
A Nebraska State Park Permit is required to enter this park area. A **Nebraska Licensed Vehicle Park Entry Permit** is $35 for an Annual Permit, $17.50 for a Duplicate Annual Permit (used for that second vehicle in your family) or a Daily Permit which is $7 per day you are staying. A **Non-Nebraska Licensed Vehicle Park Entry Permit** is $70, $35 for a Duplicate Annual Permit or a Daily Permit which is $14 per day. The Best Camping Near Fremont, Nebraska

My wife and I stayed where with a group of friends for a week. Great car camping experience here! We camped right along the water. We had sites 210 and 211 right on Victory Lake. The fishing was great and we had a lot of kayaking to do. There are a ton of available sites here right on the water. There is access to bathrooms and water nearby, and showers a little further up. We mostly cooked over campfire but there is a restaurant and we did head there while kayaking for a burger break. There is a swimming beach and you can get on the water for skiing and tubing if you like. While the campsites were crowded the water wasn't, so we didn't have too many motor boats to contend with while paddling. We really enjoyed this place and if we are in the area again this will be our spot. 

Favorite place in Nebraska!

When we got here on Saturday we were lucky enough to get the last spot. I would definitely call ahead to reserve a spot if going for the weekend. It is a college town and a state park so it was busy. Everyone was having a great time boating, fishing, camping, swimming, and etc. There are playgrounds, day use areas, picnic shelters,concessions, restaurant/shop, fishing pier along with many small fishing lakes. There are 2 larger rv campgrounds- Pathfinder and Victory Lake, and then a smaller one on the other side of the railroad tracks. All sites have Electric only. There are lots of tent sites. All around nice park and quiet during the week.

Something for Everyone

It is great to back in and be right on a sandy beach area. This was a gravel pit site in the 1950-60s so water is deep and lakes are on small side..You may make reservations ahead, which is helpful due to this being the only full service hookups we could find. Representatives were readily available, sites were clean, and you can move without any hassle.

Friendly  Staff, Small Semi Private Lake Beaches

With tent and RV camping, this is a great place for a quick getaway if you live in Southeast Nebraska. There are picnic facilities and a snack bar, but you're also not too far from Fremont where you can buy supplies or grab something to eat. There is not much privacy as a side effect of having few trees. The lake is stocked so it's a decent spot for fishing.

Best for a short camping trip or day trip

Definitely more of a party campground. There are a bunch of lakes and a bar in the park. The bathrooms are gross, but they flush and there are showers. 

If you want to party

2nd time we’ve camped here. Love that it’s right by the water. Nice big spots with plenty of room. Only downside was this last time we saw a few people let their animals run but that shouldn’t be on the park. All in all a great place to camp!
