Operated by the municipality of Beaver Crossing and open April through November, this small city park campground provides 50-amp electric and water hookups for up to seven RVs, with a max length of 65 feet. No reservations are taken. Sites are first-come, first-serve, and a suggested donation of around $10 per night keeps it effectively free. Blue signs mark the entrance route, and at least one reviewer notes the actual entry is on Elk Street, which differs from what GPS navigation typically shows.
The camping area is essentially a gravel lot adjacent to the town's recreation complex, which includes a playground, ball fields, and a pool. That proximity sounds like a noise concern, but multiple campers report the area goes quiet by early evening. Covered picnic tables and fire rings are shared among sites rather than assigned individually. Shade is available. The grass is kept mowed, and reviewers consistently flag the flush restrooms as clean and within easy walking distance.
Hookup options include 20-, 30-, and 50-amp service, which gives RVers some flexibility. Supplies in town are limited to one small gas station, so stocking up before arrival makes sense. Smiths Creek Recreational Area lies roughly 3 miles northwest for campers wanting a more natural setting nearby, and Straightwater WMA Dispersed, Rainwater Basin is about 6.5 miles north for those interested in dispersed camping. As Tim C. put it, it's a "clean, quiet, hookups" stop right off the interstate. Arrive with water and groceries already loaded.
