Weekday stays at Elkhorn Crossing Recreational Area run noticeably quiet, with the site filling to roughly a quarter capacity on weekends when anglers and drone flyers arrive. Set in open terrain near the Elkhorn River outside Valley, the area provides water hookups for RVs, picnic tables, a playground, and disc golf. No electrical hookups are available. Bathrooms have drawn mixed reports, with at least one reviewer noting cleanliness issues and no visible on-site management. Cell service is present. At $10 per night with a seven-day maximum stay, campers can pay via a self-serve drop box. Bring your own supplies, as the remote location means no nearby services.
