Richmond Marshall hookup trail dispersed campsite

Accessible via a logging road in good condition, this dispersed campsite sits along the Richmond Marshall hookup trail with a single fire ring positioned at an embankment edge. The narrow access road cuts through tall timber, creating a tight turnaround space that requires careful maneuvering for larger rigs.

Campers can hear creek sounds from the gorge below while enjoying an open camping area with reliable cell service. The site receives minimal foot traffic, with dry vegetation typical of the region. For those wanting established amenities, Lolo National Forest Lake Inez Campground provides developed facilities less than two miles east.

Secluded beautiful dispersed site

The sight was amazing! You get there by taking a long dirt road. It is a little bumpy and gets narrow. However we got through with a class C RV just fine! The site has a fire pit and a table and is very secluded. It is just the side of a gorge. You can hear the creek at the bottom when sitting outside. Amazing view of the sun rise. Would highly recommend this spot. Just a heads up the sign said you needed a permit to stay there. We did not have one and had no issue. The pic of the board listed below.

Logging Logging Spur MTN view

Acesss logging road in good shape. Narrow in places . Fire ring at the edge of the embankment. Tight place to turn around. Can hear a creek deep in the gorge. Only saw one other person. Vegetation is very dry. Nice open view for camping. Most of the road cuts through tall trees. Good cell service . No services just a fire ring and cell reception.
