Nice place

We came here just after the Labor Day weekend and found it to be not very busy as we arrived early on Friday. It filled up for Saturday and Sunday nights, bit was peaceful and relaxing. We were not able to camp near the water at this time due to much of the campground being closed off for the season.

National Forest campground Rexford Bench

We like this place a lot. Large sites. Many with double driveway. All are back in sites and there are a few available for longer units, but most are for 30 ft or less. Very nice. Nice. Well kept campground. No services but water is available at spigots.

Let's keep this place a secret

I will start with the lake. Amazingly beautiful. I was so looking forward to kayaking and/or paddleboarding, but alas, it was too windy. I was forced to just enjoy the views from the peaceful shore. There is plenty of boat parking and a large launch area. The campground itself is not directly on the water, but very very close. The sited are very generously spaced. It made us feel like we were wild camping. There are communal water spouts. A dump station. And really nice bathrooms with flush toilets. This is one of our favorite NFS campgrounds. It is also close to Eureka where there are some good restaurants in a cute walkable downtown. The grocery store is a far size with great produce. The Candian border isn't very far.
