Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks operates Water Birch as a fishing access site along Rock Creek, placing several campsites directly on the water's edge. The campground sits close to the highway, though the creek's current tends to mask road noise at most sites. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. Self-pay. Pets are welcome, and the site accommodates big rigs. Anglers exploring campgrounds around Roberts will find this a functional base. Red Lodge KOA offers a developed alternative a few miles to the southwest.

Quite

If you can get past cars driving by this is a great spot. It was quiet and an amazing experience. The creek was the perfect background noise the the various birds. The spots are easy to access and get into.

Nice spot along Rock Creek

This is pretty close to the highway, but it’s also close to Rock Creek — especially the first two campsites you come to. Picnic table and fire ring at each site. Self pay.

Post Labor day stay

Quaint little campground. With several spots right along Rock Creek. Some loss of parking where the 2022 flooding washed out the loop at the end of the road. The campground is right off the highway, but the creek drowns out the road noise.
