Anglers and paddlers will find Sylvia Lake Campground tucked back into the Flathead National Forest, accessible via a long, winding road that becomes rutted and dusty. The US Forest Service operates this drive-in campground from Memorial Day through October 15, offering both designated sites and dispersed camping spots created over time. Pets are not permitted.
Wildfire has left stands of dead trees throughout the area, though new growth emerges among the burn scars. The lake provides opportunities for exploration and crawdad catching, while a rope swing offers additional recreation. Cell service is unavailable, and no amenities exist on-site. Campers should come fully prepared with supplies, as stores are a considerable distance away.
Description
Sylvia Lake Campground has 3 designated campsites. Each site has a picnic table, firering and a vault toilet in the campground. There is a small boat ramp for fishing boats, canoes and kakaks. The lake has native grayling and cuttroat trout.
