Spillway Campground is located near Anaconda, MT, surrounded by forested terrain and rolling hills. The area experiences temperatures ranging from 20°F in winter to 80°F in summer. Nearby attractions include the Anaconda Smoke Stack State Park and Georgetown Lake, offering opportunities for hiking and fishing.

This campground is located on the northwestern shore of East Fork Reservoir.  The reservoir covers 500 acres with timbered hillsides all around. At the far end of the reservoir you may access the Anaconda Pintler Wilderness. At an elevation of 6,500 feet, Spillway Campground encompasses 3 acres. It is a nicely developed Forest Service campground with 13 campsites in lodgepole timber. Some sites are along the shore and some slightly back on the hillside. Restrooms and water are available and pets are welcome at the campground as long as they're kept on a leash. The maximum recommended trailer length for the area is 22 feet. Please limit your stay to 16 days.

The Best Camping Near Philipsburg, Montana

Camp sites are clean and well maintained with fire rings and picnic tables. Vault toilets are very clean, and water was available by pump. Lots of wildlife in the area and populated with very friendly Chipmunks!

Hidden gem in the mountains!

Very nice campground. Enjoyed the beauty of the area. I would definitely return. The fishing accessibility however was a bit limited. Came in June 2025, work is being done on the dam, so there is much construction noise from about 7am to 6pm during week. No work on weekends.
