Lower Hyalite Group

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Reservations are required at Lower Hyalite Group, a forested group campground in Gallatin National Forest managed by the US Forest Service, with a flat fee of $185 per stay. The site runs from May 15 through September 15. Road access is a known variable here. One camper found the access road closed in late April, well before the official season opens, so arriving near the seasonal boundaries carries real risk. Water and sewer hookups are available on site, and pets are allowed. Anglers have creek and lake access nearby. Book well in advance, and confirm road conditions with the ranger district before heading out.

Fee Info

An additional fee will be collected at the campground if the number of people listed on the reservation is exceeded.

Closed Road in April

Parking Lot was open but the road to the campground was closed in April... Ended up sleeping in the car down the way.
