Fishing, paddling, and lake access draw campers to Bitterroot Meadows, a drive-in campground in Proctor, Montana, set in open terrain near both a river and a lake. The access road runs rough, so low-clearance vehicles may have trouble. Rates run $45 to $80 per night, and the site includes toilets, showers, fire rings, trash service, and cell coverage. Reservations are available. Campers exploring the northern Montana region can also browse campgrounds near Proctor or consider nearby Little Bitterroot Lake Campground about seven miles north. If water access and mountain surroundings are your priorities, this one is worth a look.
