Jeff Busby Campground

SUMMARY PRESENTED BYT-Mobile

Sitting along the Natchez Trace Parkway in north-central Mississippi, Jeff Busby Campground occupies a wooded stop roughly midway along the historic route. The sites are paved pull-throughs, first-come, first-served, and large enough to accommodate RVs. One practical note: site boundaries overlap, so even pull-through rigs may need to maneuver to clear neighboring setups when departing.

Cleanliness comes up consistently across reviews, with multiple visitors noting the restrooms stay in good shape even during busy holiday weekends. Flush toilets and water spigots are available on-site, with trash cans placed at intervals throughout the camping area. No dump station is on the property, so RV travelers should plan accordingly. Campers report the campground quiets down at night and stays that way into the morning.

A one-mile trail leads from the campground to a hilltop overlook, the only significant elevation point along the Mississippi section of the Trace. It runs one mile each way. Pets are permitted, and the campground meets ADA accessibility standards. Cell service is listed as available. Pierre L. sums up the overnight experience simply: "Quiet at night and in morning."

Campers who want to explore more of the corridor can browse places to camp around Natchez Trace Parkway for additional stops along the route. For a different configuration at the same location, Jeff Busby Campground, Milepost 193.1 — Natchez Trace Parkway is listed as a nearby alternative worth comparing.

Small but decent

There isn't a lot of space but the bathrooms were decent and they had water spigots and trashcans set up at intervals. It was clean and a pretty area.

Free camping on the Natchez Trace

Paved pull through sites are first come first serve. They seem to over lap and lots of folk share the sites. So you may need to back up to get out, even if it is pull through.
Flush toilets. Picnic area. Nice nature walk to a view, 1 mile each way.
