Love it!

This place is so beautiful and very well kept! There are beachside paths right to the lake from your campsite. Surrounded by trees so shaded and privacy. Im a single female traveling and feel totally safe! Will be visiting again

Favorite Place on Earth

Grew up going here and now take my kids here. Beautiful island with great sites and a crystal clear lake surrounding.

Clean and quiet

We stayed just one night on our way across country. It was mid-week so very quiet and not packed full. The majority of the sites are open and level but not much shade or privacy to be had. The check-in lady was pleasant and accommodating and we were escorted to our site by her husband. We used…

It's In A Small Town, Perfect For A Night

I was driving this way and I needed a place to stay overnight. I found this campground on Google, and added to Dyrt. It's in a small town called Fosston.

Nothing special about this, it's not a place to stay for multiple nights but it's great for an overnight.

There is a self-check-in,…

Private Lake Side Camping

Campers' Paradise is island camping that you get to by driving across a 1 lane road to get to the island.  There are lakefront sites or interior sites but this is as close to beach front camping as you will get in MN!  The lake front sites have their own sandy walk in to the water.  The sites are…

Great campground no view of the lake

This is a great campground. The sites are huge with plenty of room between the sites. This is on the east side of leech lake back in the channel so you can't really see the lake. There is a boat ramp to get you on the lake. Firewood can be purchased next door at Tonga. Sites were really clean in…

We stayed here a couple of nights.  The camp office was nice.  Not much for staple grocery items if you needed a few things.  Bathrooms were well maintained.

The sites were weedy and very close together.  The pool was fine but mini golf course was a disaster, total disrepair.

One of the best spots I’ve stayed at so far!!

We spent 5 days there and it was not enough!! This place has beautiful scenery whether you are in an inside lot or on the lake. Staff was very kind and accommodating and shower/bathhouse were well maintained and setup very nice. I highly recommend this place and have already booked for next year…

So good we're making it a tradition

My wife and a number of her friends have raved about this place so we booked a site for a week over the 4th of July.

First off, every member of the staff we worked with from reservations to the store were wonderful. They were helpful, courteous and polite but you could tell that they were no…

Great Lake but it can get quite busy at the campground

We camp here every year. We enjoy trout fishing and swimming. The lake is a spring fed lake so the water is pretty cold. I usually float on a air mattress. This campsite can get pretty busy and some parent don’t supervise their kids very closely. Management does enforce quiet hours and no ATVs are…

Nice Facilities

We spent a lot of time camping without facilities in dispersed campsites, so the Bemidji KOA was a great break from the primitive monotony. We only stayed one night (we were on a fast paced road trip) but would definitely stay again. Definitely more expensive than free, but you get what you pay…

Sits right on the river with a gorgeous view and wind in the trees

Shell City Campground is in the Huntersville State Forest. If you want to camp in the woods, you want to be in the woods. Even if you are in a city. This camp is off the beaten path, without being "out of the way". Making your way there in any season without snow is certainly going to be easier,…
