Stubler Beach

This drive-in campground sits along Mountain Iron's shoreline with basic amenities including drinking water, restrooms, and picnic tables. Sites allow campfires and welcome pets, though recent visitor reports indicate maintenance challenges with overflowing trash receptacles and debris scattered throughout the area.

Access options include standard drive-in sites plus walk-in and hike-in spots for campers preferring different arrival methods. The $10 nightly fee makes it an affordable base camp, though one reviewer noted finding glass and other hazardous materials in fire rings upon arrival. Evening noise from vehicles gathering in the beach parking area may affect some sites. For a more maintained alternative, Buhl RV Park operates nearby.

Stubler Beach Camping

I found syringes & glass bottles in the fire pit upon arrival. There's house trash scattered around the woods including a queen mattress & tv. The local kids hang out at the beach parking lot rev-ing crappy sounding trucks mostly in the evening. There's no one on site that maintain sites or park. Trash is over filling in all trash cans.

I did enjoy being able to get away close to home, but was a little disappointed at how run down this camp ground seems since 12 years ago.
