Rainbow Camp

Fishing, kayaking, and skiing draw campers to this dispersed site near the Big Manistee River corridor in Onekama, Michigan. Road traffic is a factor here: the access road sees regular use, possibly from other campers or people turning around at the end. Cars fit without much trouble, though. Campfires are permitted, and one reviewer reported no disturbances overnight. Matson's Big Manistee River Campground sits about a mile south for those wanting a more developed alternative. Pack gear suited to the season, as conditions along this stretch of Michigan vary considerably.

Rainbow Camp

It’s an easy camp to get your car tucked in but the road is used. Unsure if it was other campers or people using the end of the road as a landing. We didn’t get bothered and slept well also.
