Amazing views for a campground!!!

Ok, if you want a campground with a view… This is your place. Every site with a view of the bay. I was here last year and the water was probably up to more feet this year tons of area to walk along the water‘s edge. Each site has a stone fireplace and a picnic table. Vault toilets. If you want to…

Full hook ups in the weeds

Very cheap - 30 amps, water and sewer hookup on unlevel overgrown sites. Not exaggerating that weeds are a foot high covering all the sites and grounds like a pasture - unless you bring your own weedeater or mower. The ancient class c camper next to us doesn't appear to be movable and has no sewer…

Beautiful campground on Lake Huron

This campground is a must do. Electric site campground with a short walk to the beach on Lake Huron. One of few campgrounds you can view both sunrise over Lake Huron and sunset from the beach. Showers and flush toilets. Great biking and hiking trails. Really nice day use area with pavilion. Mini…

Relaxing getaway

Lovely campground with a diversity of sites including some amongst some super-tall pines and others right on the shore of Black Lake.

Spent a nice week here over Memorial Day Weekend.  the first few days were quite crowded with people gathering for the holiday but come monday dearly everyone was…

Aune Osborn campground

We had a great stay at Aune Osborn. Beautiful quiet place. Friendly staff, pet friendly and freighter watching.

As far east as you can go on the UP, without getting on a ferry

We arrived at this very remote campground on the Thursday before Labor Day weekend and stayed through Tuesday. The road into the campground is full of large potholes, and twist and turns, thus it is not easy for vehicles longer than 25 feet to make the tight corners. It wasn’t full, though close to…

  • Tucked away from all other sites, with lots of privacy and just enough sun for our panel.
  • Gorgeous beach on Lake Huron, just a couple hundred yards from the campground.
  • Had to hike to this beach for the sunset, but it was worth it.

A Paddler's Dream Camp

Sometimes you spend a long time getting somewhere and you think,“Why haven’t I ever come here before now?” I grew up in Michigan and had no idea that Drummond Island even existed, let alone had ever come close to it. Now, that I know it’s there, I plan to return, again and again. The campground run…

Best camp ground (technically) in Michigan

Love this place! Can’t say enough about the views!!! Love the hiking trail and space at each site. Stayed at 26 which is in the back and has an amazingly area with incredible view. 20 looks like it would be a good one too. Pit toilets, water stations and a grilling area. Amazing for $15 a night on…

Nice SP on Northern Lake Huron

We stayed 8-3 to 8-7, only issue was the weather. Didn’t rain, but was hit with a cold front 😳. This was a great SP, no issues fitting our 36’ TT with 2 slides in our pull through site. We were nestled in the back of the park. Electrical box did have both 30 and 60 amp service. Our site was gravel…

Nice old growth campground

We enjoyed our stay at this State Park. There’s lots of trees on each of the sites, it’s about a 50/50 split on the level vs not so level sites. They are average in size with a few really big ones. The park is one of the oldest State Parks so the bathroom facilities are dated but very clean with…

Private, spacious, with amazing beach. Just beware the sumac

Drive-in first-come first-serve camping through the Department of Natural Resources, this was my favorite place in Michigan's upper peninsula so far to tent camp. It offers a variety of twenty or so spacious sites for different camping needs - groups, RVs, or private. Multiple paths through the…

Recently remodeled

This campground was redone to make sites more organized and bigger. The bathrooms seem to be older still, but were clean! The location is amazing, they are right on lake Huron which was beautiful and clean. It's a short drive to Ocqueoc waterfall which is why we went. The waterfall is worth a trip,…

Close to Ferry/Great Views

Not the greatest, but certainly not the worst campground. All first come-first served, with self-checkin. $15/night for rustic, $17/night for electric. We had an electric site, however ours was not working. We were able to plugin to the reverse side amp, and make it work. I left notes on my payment…

Nice location, but crowded

We did camp on the weekend when it opened up after quarantine, so I get that the campground was going to be busy. The sites look large on the map and they are pretty good, but if you are on the interior or “straightaway” of the loop they are pretty tight without a lot of tree barriers and it was…
