You can spend a weekend in our Treehouse Yurt, experience comfort and seclusion in our Yome Away From Home, park your RV, pitch your tent, or hang your hammock.

We are also available for your wedding, retreat, reunion, fundraiser, or festival. 

We are a farm in the mountains so be prepared to encounter INSECTS (mosquitoes,  ticks, chiggers), WILDLIFE (deer, turkey, snakes, toads, and dare we mention the  bear track we spotted one spring?), WEATHER (hot, cold, rain, snow), TOXIC  PLANTS (poison ivy, stinging nettle, wild mushrooms), just to name a  few.

We DO NOT have internet or cell service, though we do have a phone for emergency use (trust us, your "people" aren't out here). Instead, we do encourage other forms of entertainment:  instruments, hiking shoes, fishing poles, bubbles, hula hoops, etc.  

We also DO NOT have trash service. We will have recycling bins set up for glass, plastic, cans, paper, and compost for your food  waste, but plan to take your trash with you when you leave.  We will have extra  bags for those that forget.  We also encourage you to bring your own dishes & cutlery to minimize excess trash as well.

S-Tree Campground sits on a ridge above Horse Lick Creek on London Ranger District near McKee in Jackson County, Kentucky. A small picnic area features a historic picnic shelter that was constructed in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps. The campground receives heavy weekend use from off-highway vehicle users who ride the adjacent Sheltowee Trace National Recreation Trail, Section #25 and the Renfro Loop Trail. These trails may be accessed from the campground. Make this page look nicer by submitting photos of your visit to S-Tree Campground. Learn more... This campground cannot accommodate trailers 25 feet or more due to one lane roads and no turn-outs. Each campsite has a picnic table, tent pad, fire ring and lantern pole. No electricity or dump station available.Vault toilets are centrally located. Campsites and shelter are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Loop A has two double campsites. Loop B has two fire circles. All of the campsites are wooded. Picnicking nearby: A picnic shelter with tables is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Other picnic sites are located near an area where a fire lookout tower once stood. Towers like these were important tools in detecting and fighting devastating forest fires. Fire towers were home to the lookouts who ran them. A tower cab was just big enough for a wood stove, two cots, a cabinet, storage box, small table, and a stool. The all-important alidade, or fire finder, stood in the middle of the room. By the mid-1970s, firefighters used aircraft for fire detection. Many towers, like one that stood here, were torn down because they could no longer be maintained in a safe condition. S-Tree Campground

Set back almost a mile from the main road on its own private drive, Lago Linda Hideaway provides security and privacy for its campers in a gorgeous setting. The 35 Piney Woods and Lazy Oaks campsites (which can be reserved in advance) lie on ridge tops among groves of oak trees, allowing campers to spread out and enjoy as much privacy as they wish. All of these campsites are graveled and have electrical hookups.

 Each site has its own city water, picnic table, and fire ring. In addition, a large, grassy meadow provides ample overflow camping for tent and car campers, including a big, covered, cooking pavilion with electricity along with another covered area that provides additional shelter for a number of tents.

 Lago Linda Hideaway has a bathhouse with hot showers and flush toilets, as well as Broadband Internet access. Well-behaved children and dogs are welcome to this accommodating environment.

The 300 to 400 foot perpendicular walls of limestone(also known as Kentucky Marble), remain unchanged since Daniel Boone traversed this area. Since the Kentucky River is one of the oldest, most deeply embedded rivers in the world, the Palisades expose limestone deposits of up to 450 million years old. Come and enjoy this undisturbed natural wonder from the gently sloping banks of Cummins Ferry Resort. 

What's there to do at the Resort? Whether you enjoy camping, boating, fishing, hiking or just relaxing, Cummins Ferry RV Park, Campground, RV Resort on the Kentucky River is a great experience. We are located just south of Frankfort and Lexington, Kentucky in the middle of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. There is so much to do near Cummins Ferry RV Park, Campground, RV Resort is more than just camping, so getting bored is not something that is likely to happen. If you are feeling down from spending too much time inside, like we all have been- don't worry, Cummins Ferry RV Park in Kentucky is a chill place to spend quality time Outdoors. People like to camp here because we are located in Central Kentucky and are within driving distance of many places, such as Shaker Village, all of the Historic Bourbon Distilleries, Old Fort Harrod State Park and a ton of great restaurants, a few Microbreweries- and wineries as well. There are also many local attractions and a variety of outdoor recreation activities close to the resort. 

Fishing+ Boating! The Kentucky River is a fisherman's paradise, providing the opportunity for anglers to catch their limit of a variety of local species, such as Bass, Bluegill, Catfish, Crappie, and White Perch. Hiking Trails! Self-guided hiking trails allow explorers to follow the river shoreline and meander from the marina to the swimming pool and into the wooded portion of the campground where one of the most intense concentrations of rare plant species in the Bluegrass Region is on display. Sheltered beneath an incredible natural arbor of Beech and Yellow Poplar, Blue Ash, Chinquapin Oak and Sugar Maples lies an abundance of exquisite botanical wonders such as the Snow Trillium, Big BlueStem, Wild Oates, Riverbank Goldenrod, Saint John's Wort and Tufted Hairgrass.

Thank you for considering Clayton Geneva memorial campground for your camping trip. Please read the entire description including our rules and regulations. Also be sure to view the site map. The gravel driveway to the sites is passable with any vehicle. If you choose to use our alternate parking there will be a hike to your site, appropriately 1/8 of a mile. I can’t stress enough that it is primitive camping, there is a restroom available at the top of the hill. We are inviting you to enjoy a peaceful, primitive camping experience on a spacious plot right on the sandy banks of the Cumberland River. We offer a tree canopy covered, serene spot that offers river swimming, fishing, enjoy a camp fire or just plain nothing but peace and quiet. Each site is equipt with a fire ring. The drive way to the primitive sites is a little lane that wraps around a mountain side that leads to the primitive sites. We do our best to keep up with it however due to the nature of weather, gravity and water it’s a constant chore. Your welcome to hike in to the sites, it’s not mandatory that you driver on down. If you feel comfortable by all means slowly drive directly to your site. If your not sure of the lane please hike to your site. Hikers, Horses and riders welcome, located a couple miles from Daniel Boone National Forrest, seemingly endless trails through some of the most beautiful country. Bring your canoe and kayaks. In March 2019 a record flood devastated the campground, boat ramp, and trails in this area. Bee Rock Campground will remain closed until recreation facilities are safely restored. To find other campgrounds nearby, contact the London Ranger District at 606-864-4163, Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Campground facilities at nearby Laurel River Lake open on April 12.Bee Rock Campground, located on London Ranger District, has developed campsites on both sides of the Rockcastle River. The campground is a US Fee Area. The Laurel County side, with 9 sites, is open all year. The Pulaski County side, with 19 sites, is open from mid-April through mid-October. An overlook along Bee Rock Loop Trail provides a scenic view of the rocks and cliffs along Rockcastle River. Bee Rock Boat Rampprovides river access. The campground features Old Sublimity Bridge, a historic structure built by the Civilian Conservation Corp (CCC) in the late 1930s. The stone used in the abutments was quarried from the adjacent sandstone cliffs. The bridge has been restored for foot travel only. The name Bee Rock comes from a local legend which states that a large number of wild honeybees used to live in this area, using a hollow area under this cliff as their hive. Tired of the wild honeybees invading their hives, local beekeepers dynamited the rock, destroying the hive and causing honey to flow down the cliff into the Rockcastle River. Make sure fires are out before retiring at night or when leaving your campsite. Parking is available at campsites, boat ramp and overflow parking area. Restrooms are accessible vault toilets. Drinking water is available except during winter months. No climbing or rappelling from cliffs, arches or other rock formations at Bee Rock Overlook. Low lying areas are prone to flooding, so be alert for flooding when driving, camping or crossing streams in this area. Swift currents and undertows can make swimming and wading very hazardous. Of the six parks in the Bluegrass State, Mammoth Cave is the only true national park. This area of southwestern Kentucky holds the best outdoor activities to be found in the state.

There are a large number of campsites across a few campgrounds, and Mammoth Cave Campground holds most of them. Both Mammoth Cave and Maple Springs Campgrounds are accessible for RVs. Backcountry camping is also available for interested hikers. The caves are, of course, the big draw, and no matter where you stay, you should take a cave tour. Since there are no nearby forests or BLM land, the best camping near Mammoth Cave National Park is fairly far away at the Green River Lake Wildlife Management Area. If you can’t get a spot in the park, staying in nearby Park City or Brownsville, KY, is the best choice.
