Awful

We stayed at Duck Creek while visiting family in the area. It sits along a very busy road. There are a lot of sketchy, long-term residents here. We were placed on an end site crammed up next to a long-term resident. The last night of our stay there was a rainstorm and we woke up to ankle-deep water…

Pretty good place to stay!

Well, what can I say? We have been here for just about two weeks and it's not all that bad. Yeah, it needs some love and care(and they're working on it as I write) but overall is a good place to stay. Spoke with many of the travelers and most are from neighboring states and love coming here. They…

Quiet and remote

Stayed here in March 2020. My favorite part about this campground was that there were only 8 campsites so it was very quiet and remote. I arrived at 7pm on Friday and snagged the last site. The fire pit had a grate large enough to cook on and I didn’t need to use my extra grate that I keep in my…

Peaceful Stop

Planned on a 2 night stay but added 3 nights to our stay to get out of the way of Ida. Led to site 15 by Keith and Kim the hardworking owners. Beautiful site on the Ohio River. Magnificent sunsets. Sites alternated pull in and back in sharing water and electric pedestals. Lots of space on door…

Hiker passing through

This place has been on our bucket list for a few years. We didn't get to camp there, but hiked a couple of the trails. It's definitely worth the visit!

The Garden of the Gods Observation Trail was a short, easy hike with some amazing scenic views.

The wilderness has several other hikes, but we…

Good amenities, could use better maintainence

We enjoyed the amenities that came with our stay. There was a late night check in mishap (no one answered, and we were left wandering around to look for space) they did offer us 1/2 off the first night. The lagoon was fun, and we enjoyed it, could use a lil underside cleaning and inflation…

Quiet weekend on the water

We enjoyed the view of the lake all weekend. Cell service for Verizon and AT&T were good enough to work from the camper and T-Mobile was non-existent. Campground hosts were very nice when we interacted with them. The beach area was a plus for us as our dogs love to swim and it is only open to…

Great hidden gem

This is our second visit and we absolutely love it.  Nice shaded lot on the Ohio river.  Right after getting set up, we got to see a big barge go by.  We would definitely recommend this place.

Quiet, comfortable site

We stayed for 2 nights and had a very quiet, comfortable stay. You can see the lake through the trees, and there's a trail down to the shore off the back of the site - looked like a great spot to launch a small canoe of you don't mind hauling it back up the hill afterward. We tent camp and the site…

Keep Moving

I do not recommend this place unless you’re either coming for a one night stay or you work in the area and don’t plan to spend a lot of time there but to sleep. There’s nothing to do there. No picnic tables, no fire pits and not much room between campers. The playground was not something I’d let my…

Overall nice place, but nothing special.

Just spent one night here as we used it as a stopover location for a longer trip. It was an older well maintained park and very functional. There was plenty of room to walk our dogs inside the rv park itself and the bath houses were clean and well kept. There was only one dump station…

Great Lake getaway

With all the parking lot style RV parks popping up these days, it’s nice to find these older parks around from days when people liked trees and breathing room. Stayed in the full hookup sites of Dogwood Loop. Some sites are hard to back into and require much work to get level, but they are well…

Wouldn’t stay here again

Was disappointed in this campground. Put us in a site next to cabins and apartments and full time campers. Also things look a little worn.
