Climbing trips

I always choose lago Linda’s for my climbing trips, they provide everything you need with dispersed enough areas that you can feel alone in the woods some nights but close enough to civilization for your basic needs. I also love the option of fishing on site during rest days

Laurel County side with 9 sites is still open

The sites all sit on the side of the road opposite the river bank. Each site has a small parking area and a well done, leveled gravel path/stairs leading to the picnic and fire ring area as well as the level area for a tent. I was most surprised at how much traffic was on the road, especially…

Large, secluded, full-shade sites!

This is a fantastic campground. Literally the only thing it lacks is sewer hookups but the dump station is convenient. This will be a regular for us. Stayed in A12 and it is level, secluded, completely shaded and very large.

Pure gold for such an inexpensive price

I think lots number 712 and 13 are the best because they are situated right around a beautiful pond with massive lily pads and dragonflies. It is about a 20 minute drive to a local store or a save a lot when we forgot some groceries. The trees are mature so there is plenty of shade and lofty space…

Great park next to the river

This is a small well maintained campground right on the Kentucky river. It is down in a hollow which makes it secluded and quiet. There is a dock and a boat ramp. The customer service is exceptional. Under new management since November, they are making some very nice upgrades. 30/50 amp full…

Loved our visit!

We had such an amazing time at HomeGrown HideAways!! We stayed at the Yome, and it was perfect for our family of four. Instead of sleeping in it, which would have been perfectly comfortable, we actually used it as more of an extra shelter and we pitched out tents in the field in front of the Yome.…

Beautiful and Quiet

Not many first come first serve sites, but if you can snag a spot you will be rewarded with a peaceful evening. There is a theatre insight which is 70 years old and full of history. Amazing people, close to town and very inexpensive.

Very quiet camping

One side of the campground is back open and looking great! Campground is very clean and quiet with drinking water and vault toilets. Most of the sites have stairs from parking spot to camp area. Sites are spaced out pretty nicely to give some privacy. You can still walk across the bridge to get to…

The perfect hideaway

Really loved staying here- close enough to the beautiful hikes and climbs of the area, and far enough to feel really private and woodsy. Since it was so warm, we took a dip in the lake. Our site was spacious and pretty, with plenty of room for our two tents and a hammock. I will say we found a few…

Decent place

Staff as always been very friendly, sites are very spacious, there are trails for hiking, a playground and a beach. Only negatives are no showers and not much shade unless you get a site on the edge of the woods

Great stay with silence

Campers paradise, with a FREE campground. Campsites are spacious depending on which one you get, and we'll spread out. Be wary of shy bears and bobcats.
