Friendly Marina & Campground

This campground is great for larger groups, as they allow multiple tents/campers per site. Most campsites overlook the lake and have a lovely view of sunset. Only complaint is the amount of trash we picked up upon arrival. The beach access was virtually unusable due to trash everywhere, but we…

Bee Rock Campground

All sites are new walk-in that have just been redone after flood damage. Laurel county side only!

Good thing only one night.

Luckily we got there late and left early. Ine thing can turn me off from a campground quickly and that's how well they maintain their bathrooms. My parent went to use the restroom near the pool, absolutely disgusting. They've experienced a lot of things in their 80 years and they were shocked. My…

Pure gold for such an inexpensive price

I think lots number 712 and 13 are the best because they are situated right around a beautiful pond with massive lily pads and dragonflies. It is about a 20 minute drive to a local store or a save a lot when we forgot some groceries. The trees are mature so there is plenty of shade and lofty space…

  • very pretty pond on-site
  • the rock bridge about .3 miles from the campground turnoff

Great State Park

Easy check in and nice level sites close to the water. The newer section has very few trees for shade. The older section had plenty of shade and nice sites.

Crowded and noisy

This place is not for you if you are looking for solitude or silence. It might be your scene if you’re into parties. Tent sites were not all accessible by drive up - some you had to park at the top of the hill and walk down. Bathrooms were clean though, and the staff was friendly. Can’t beat the…

Amazing time

We stayed at site RV33. We have a 25ft travel trailer and it was perfect. There were two tent sites very close to us, but we had more than enough room. If we were to go again, we would pull straight into the site (this would have put our slide towards the road). The tent sites looked to be the best…

Amazing time at Niagara of the South!

So thrilled to see the falls since 27 years of my resident in KY!! My 80 years old parents joined to look. Awesome!!! Campground is very clean. We love the Camper’s trail just next to campground. We want to hike at Eagle Falls. But, not ready for it. We enjoyed hiking down to the beach and climb…

Small Family Campground

Stayed in Site 19 - by far the most private site.  19 is actually a double site - two tent pads, two tables.  Site is surrounded by forest on three sides.  Site 19 is a tent only site.  Site 20 didn't look bad, but there wasn't much shade during the heat of the day.  The rest of the sites are…

Very hilly

The site I was in was on such a steep hill I left early because I was afraid I would break my leg getting in and out if my camper.

Very quiet camping

One side of the campground is back open and looking great! Campground is very clean and quiet with drinking water and vault toilets. Most of the sites have stairs from parking spot to camp area. Sites are spaced out pretty nicely to give some privacy. You can still walk across the bridge to get to…

Worth the trip

Many of the sites have a view of the water. The sites are well separated leaving a lot of room for the kids and walking the dog as well.

There is a nice beach but no lifeguard. Lots of shade trees as well.

Great place for boaters and kayakers. There are multiple docks to set at and a put in road…

Beautiful state park, remote and quiet.

We had a great time. Bring the bug spray, sunscreen and plenty of exention cords. The campground needs investment as majority of the sites are narrow with difficult positions for hooking up and leveling, make sure you pay attention. To each site description. The Full hookup/Ada sites are new, the…

Beautiful Spot

Beautiful spot close to the water. Secluded area that can be reached via GPS coordinates ONLY (we learned this after trying to check in at the Dale Hollow campground).

Things to know:

  • there was no dumpster for trash

-hike in spot with vault toilet

Nice family run campground!

Nice campground surrounded by forest. They have a pond for fishing and another pond for swimming with nice Sandy beach. They also put out bouncy houses for the kids at no extra cost. You can rent golf carts which is helpful since the campground is fairly large, the front and back sites are…
