Kayakers and anglers have a direct reason to consider Tippecanoe River Run: the campground sits along the Tippecanoe River in Rochester, Indiana, with bank fishing and kayak or canoe launch access built into the site. Drive-in, walk-in, and boat-in access all work here. Full hookups, including electric, water, and sewer, make it a functional stop for RV campers, and the nightly rate runs $25 to $35.
Reviews paint a mixed picture. The reservation system draws consistent criticism, with one camper noting that tent sites are numbered on the map but bookings use lettered designations with no corresponding site photos, making it hard to know what you're getting. Bathrooms have come up as a cleanliness concern. Seasonal campers occupy parts of the property and can move through transient sites, which affects noise and crowding on busier weekends. Sarah and Philip H. describe it as "birds chirping, right on a nature spring, everyone is respectful but laid back," though experiences vary considerably based on when you visit.
Pets are welcome, campfires are allowed, and a dump station is on site. The access road carries a rough-road warning, so low-clearance vehicles should factor that in. Campers exploring camping near Rochester have additional options in the area, including Lakeview Campground roughly nine miles east for a different setup.
