Fairview Park Campground sits within a city park in Casey, Illinois, managed by the City of Casey and running about 30 sites across a grassy, tree-lined area. Big shade trees cover much of the grounds, and a small lake with a fountain sits nearby. Sites are level and generally include water and electric hookups, with 50-amp, 30-amp, and 110-volt outlets available at the site, making it a practical overnight stop for RV travelers passing through east-central Illinois.
Campers report that sites can be tricky to navigate after heavy rain, and the layout takes a bit of figuring out on arrival, especially in low light. Some spots sit in more open ground, which works better for satellite internet, while others are tucked under tree canopy. Picnic tables and firepits are available at select sites, and a dump station is located near the bathrooms and shower house. The showers require a key, so campers should plan to ask the camp host on arrival. A train runs about a block and a half from the park, audible at night for light sleepers.
Rates run $10 to $25 per night depending on residency status, making this one of the more affordable stops with full hookups in the region. "Was quieter than at my house," notes kelly, which captures what most reviewers seem to find here. The Casey KOA Kampground & RV Repair is less than a mile northwest for campers who want a more structured facility, and Fox Ridge State Park Campground provides a natural alternative about 11 miles to the northwest.
