With the development of the Rickett’s RV Camp, overnight stays in the Park are now permitted. This fee-free primitive camp offers a vault toilet facility and 13 individual RV parking pads, each with a picnic table and fire ring, but no electric or water hook-ups. Additionally, a large open area is available to accommodate oversized rigs and equestrian travellers. Corrals are located adjacent to this area. Stays are limited to 5 days. Any overnight parking and dispersed camping are prohibited anywhere in the Park outside of a designated campground.

You’ll find Twin Falls in the southern section of Idaho, roughly 100 miles from Craters of the Moon National Monument. While not always as popular as the northern half of the state, south Idaho also has its share of public lands for hiking and camping.

The Best Camping Near Twin Falls, Idaho

This site is **Free** and easy to find, and not too far off the main road. There are a dozen or so marked sites with their own tables and fire pits. This site is surrounded by trails used for ATVs and Bikes. It also has one bathroom on site. No Hookups.

I stayed there for a night in April of 2024 while passing through and it was a convenient and hassle-free location. Decent Cell service

Free Dispersed Camping 

As previously posted, about a dozen sites with no hookups.  I was in the process of moving across country and exhausted.  I loved that this place was close enough to town that I didn’t have to cook.  Haha. If you’re an atv or mtb type, tons to do here.  But if you’re looking for scenery, all you will find in this campsite is the occasional amazing sunset which I was lucky enough to catch.   ;-)

Excellent one nighter traveling

Nice campground with 13 campsites with fire rings and picnic tables. There is also 2 pit toilets. Only stayed one night on our way to Oregon. There is a 5 night limit. Would stay here again if in the area. About 5 empty spots when we pulled in on a Sunday evening. There is also 3 horse corrals if looking for a place to ride.

Nice overnight spot

This is an RV park, but I used a tent. Ground is very rocky, but was able to stake it fairly easily. 
This site is very close to the town, like a quick 5 minute drive. 
Road is very accessible as well, you won't have any troubles getting to this site unless your suspension is held together by duck tape. 
Toilet was as clean as a camp toilet can be! 
My only real negative is that there were a lot of people and pets around that were making noise, but it wasn't that bad. Oh, and there is absolutely no shade at all.

Good Spot for an overnighter

Pulled into this area, easily, without any obstacles.  The sites were plenty to choose from, clean, and had a table with a fire ring.  Watched an awesome sunset and moved on the next morning.  Not much here other than the basic stuff to spend the night and feel safe.  I will stay here in my travels again.  Area is very dry right now.

Peaceful Place

Snake River Canyons Park- Rickett's RV Camp offers a peaceful and convenient location for an overnight stay. The campsites are mostly clean and equipped with fire rings and picnic tables. While the area is quite dry, it provides a safe and hassle-free experience. Nothing fancy. The Sherrif did a drive through at dusk(a feature I like) and the camp filled up before the sun had set. The availability of basic amenities such as pit toilets and horse corrals adds to the convenience of the site. If you're looking for a quick overnight stay this is a great spot that is pretty much a free campsite complete with a site host.

Conveient overnight stay with minimal fuss, bathrooms and good sized spots

Tent camped here in site 6. Felt safe the entire night and the campground featured bathrooms, which was a plus. Definitely targeted more towards RVs and camper style set-ups, but good night regardless minus some weather and wind!

Free, or Luxurious???

Nice layout, large spots, friendly people, useful signage about the surrounding area, and two clean well maintained pit toilets (one even had a night light). This spot is wonderfully close to town, feels very safe and convenient. Highly recommend this spot to anyone passing through! 

Lovely!

Fairly quiet with occassional car racing by. Very close to city of twin falls. Has vault restrooms and firepits  at the sites. 

Twin falls campsite

It’s hard to believe this place is free. Nicer than some National Forest campgrounds with the same amenities. Pit toilets and that’s it.
The toilets were clean and the one by our site even had a light on!
It was a quiet stay and convenient to see Shoshone Falls, and resupply at Costco or Walmart just to the north in Jerome.
Don’t skip the scenic overlooks at the bridge on highway 93, beautiful views, and we even watched a couple base jumpers there

Free But Primitive 

Showed up late October around 6. It’s quiet, just out of town and there are toilets places I guess (didn’t use) and a fire pit by my site. Didn’t use either. Cold (34* last night) rainy, super windy, but felt safe and free is great 😊

This fee-free primitive BLM camp offers 2 vault toilets (in case you did not bring own) and 13 level RV parking pads, each with a picnic table and fire ring, but no electric or water hook-ups.

Great free BLM camp sites

We pulled in late lastnight, easy to find right off main road hwy 93, close to Twin Falls. Clean vault toilets , roads pretty well maintained. Large sites with table and fire ring and quite.  Sites are free. 

Peaceful Stay

Easy to find and just out of town enough that it stays quieter. Pit toilet was clean and stocked. Spots for rigs of all sizes 

Easy and quiet 

Rolled in a bit after dark. Initially thought all sites were occupied but was able to find one. Walmart nearby is nice to re stock and road is easily accessible. All sites were occupied during my stay

Clean and Safe

Each space has a picnic table and fire ring, and there are drop toilets and trash bins. All the sites look pretty level. Easy to find off the highway. No trees, so little privacy.

Nice little spot

I really enjoyed my stay here. It's safe and clean - plus there are cute cows to look at :-) There are 13 individual campsites with tables and fire rings. They filled up most nights but emptied out during the day. I'd definitely stay here again. Plus it's super close to town.

Great Free Campsite

So nice to have an easy place to car camp after driving for so long. Lots of people not in sites and just parked in a big dirt lot

Quick car camping 

Just a few miles outside of Twin Falls and somewhat near the river supposedly, there are several designated back in and a couple of pull-through campsites with picnic tables and fire pits and two Vault toilets as well as well as garbage receptacles. Seems very safe and clean and sites are clearly numbered. No fee but guessing it fills up quickly on weekends. Lots of hiking and much to do in the area and a great place to lay over for a night or a few. 

Nice location but no Shelter From the elements whatsoever 

Very easily accessible location with a few pull through spots and back in  spots. All with fire rings &amp; a picnic table. 2 vault toilets available and trash cans.

You can hear/see the noise of traffic from HWY 93 but, no biggie.

The campers before us left a bunch of trash (not sure why when there’s a large trash can only a few 100 feet away?) but, we cleared it all up and the campground area overall was very clean. 

Close to town, but still secluded

Wonderful dispersed camping and close to town. Spacious sites with a picnic table. Area for horses. Pull in and pull through sites. Vault toilet.

Close to town and dreamy!

We wanted more dispersed then rickets and found the south side of Shoshone road was great 👍   some rough roads but plenty to pull a trailer on. Must check out the canyon-- truly amazing!

Very clean bathrooms. Lots of late traffic ( but it’s free and nice) so perfect for a driving stop and sleep. Highly recommend
