High in the Salmon National Forest above the Gibbonsville corridor, this dispersed spot sits near the top of a mountain ridge accessed via FS 089 off Highway 93 — open, quiet, and well removed from any sign of development. The forest road in is narrow, rocky, and steep in places, and a fallen tree has been an ongoing obstacle requiring careful maneuvering; shorter rigs handle it best. No cell service reaches this elevation, but the tradeoff is genuine high-country solitude.
