Creek access draws campers to North Fork Slate Creek Campground, where a short walk leads to flowing water within Nezperce National Forest. The US Forest Service maintains this established site with vault toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings, though recent visitors note the restroom facilities need repairs. RVs up to 22 feet can navigate the access road.
Green trees and grass surround the camping area, creating a forested setting typical of this elevation. Campers exploring campgrounds just outside Nezperce National Forest will find this spot suits those prioritizing water access over pristine facilities.
