About Kit Price

Kit Price Campground is closed for the 2019 camping season due to hazard tree removal in the area. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Kit Price is a beautiful campground overlooking the North Fork Coeur d'Alene River. Campers enjoy the benefits of the river by fishing along the banks, swimming and floating. Hiking is also a great way to see mountain views.

Recreation

Tubing, swimming and kayaking on the North Fork Coeur d'Alene River are popular summertime activities. Rafters like to head downstream for the class I-III rapids. Catch and release fishing for cutthroat trout is also popular.

Facilities

Amenities include picnic tables, grills, paved parking spurs, accessible vault toilets and drinking water. Kit Price does not have electric hookups.

Natural Features

The campground is situated along the North Fork Coeur d'Alene River at an elevation of 2,550 feet. Campsites are in a wooded area of old growth grand fir and hemlock in the river bottom of the Coeur d'Alene Mountains. Popular Coeur d'Alene Lake is about 65 miles west of Kit Price.

Wildlife in the region includes mule deer, moose, osprey and calliope hummingbirds.

Love camping here.

Gotta float the river! Early june

Clean and well maintained

Nice forest service campground run by an independent company. Good swimming hole and above a lot of the chaos of the lower river. Closed for summer 2018 unfortunately.

Great little place

This campsite is a great little place near the river with a camp host, pit toilet, and availability of water a firewood. The drive into the campground has beautiful views the entire way and access to the river and some nice fishing right from the campground. The campground is larger than it seems but the sites are still pretty close together. I really enjoyed my time there and would definitely go back. There is some great waterfall access just a bit up the road and down a small trail.
