Drive-in sites at this Forest Service campground sit alongside the Coeur d'Alene River, with water hookups available for RVs up to 45 feet. The facility operates from late May through early September, with sites ranging from $26-$52 per night depending on hookup availability.

River access defines the camping experience here, with swimming holes and fishing opportunities steps from most sites. Evan H. notes "access to the river and some nice fishing right from the campground," while also mentioning waterfall access via a short trail up the road. The campground layout places sites fairly close together despite the larger overall footprint.

A camp host provides on-site management, with drinking water, pit toilets, and firewood available for purchase. Recent visitors appreciate the maintained facilities and semi-private site design. The drive into the campground offers mountain and forest views, though road conditions can vary seasonally. For additional camping options in the region, see places to camp around Coeur d'Alene National Forest.

Kit Price works well for RV travelers seeking hookups and river recreation, plus tent campers comfortable with closer site spacing in exchange for direct water access.

Nice camp by the river

Spent a nice overnight with my girlfriend, nice bathrooms and facilities, nice semi-private campsites. Water available as well.

Clean and well maintained

Nice forest service campground run by an independent company. Good swimming hole and above a lot of the chaos of the lower river. Closed for summer 2018 unfortunately.

Great little place

This campsite is a great little place near the river with a camp host, pit toilet, and availability of water a firewood. The drive into the campground has beautiful views the entire way and access to the river and some nice fishing right from the campground. The campground is larger than it seems but the sites are still pretty close together. I really enjoyed my time there and would definitely go back. There is some great waterfall access just a bit up the road and down a small trail.
