Within BLM Land managed by the Coeur d'Alene Field Office, Crater Peak operates as an established campground during the summer months from July through September. The forested setting provides natural cover, though campers should note the strict no-pets policy before planning their visit.
Access requires navigating forest roads to reach this remote location. BLM Orphan Point Saddle sits just 0.1 miles northeast for those seeking nearby alternatives. The seasonal operation window aligns with optimal weather conditions in this elevated terrain, making advance planning essential for summer camping trips.
