Quiet and Clean Campground

This is a great KOA, lots of trees, not too tightly packed, and they have free breakfasts and ($) lunch/dinner you can order right from your site! Awesome pool with a slide and tiki bar. Would come again.

Peace and quiet

Stopped here on our way up north. We have a small teardrop trailer and ready for boondocking.

It was a little confusing going in at the National Forest... there's no signs.. but we kept on driving and found the spots right on the lake. Beautiful! Our spot had a picnic table and an informal fire…

Forts and beaches

Great campground. Our site was 51 which was a smaller site but great on the river side. River camp was plenty shaded and some privacy between sites. You could walk down to the river area. Great area to fish and sit on the beach but no swimming here. Actual beach was about 1 mile from river camp.…

Beautiful Beach camping

We camped in the beach sites during December and the mild weather made the sun bearable. These sites are in full sun, so bring some covers if you are going outside of winter. The bathroom was very clean, and it was a short walk to the shore. There was access to the hiking trails and fort via…

Secluded wildlife

We went in March and it got pretty chilly at night, but the fire pit helped us stay warm. The portapotty was one of the nicer composting variety, but the campground were primitive otherwise. The sites are all on one loop, but there are trees and bushes separating each one for some privacy.

Excellent Visit

We just got back from 4 nights at this campground and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.  We were disapointed in our site, as it was on a corner, with a really odd shape, while there were TONS of empty spaces the entire time, but it wasn't that big of a deal.  It was a bit of a drag not having a sewer…

Nice

New pool, pancake breakfast, stuff for kids to do. Only downfall, nothing close to campground. Campground store is self sufficient.

Beautiful ocean front and full of amenities

This is the most clean and well kept park i have ever been to. They rake the gravel and clean every site after each camper leaves. It is right on the water and there are hiking pathes, bicycling, fishing, site seeing and so much more. It is a beautiful and serene setting

Difficult

Apríl 9,2021 Site #4 Camper Van GPS will not get you there. Go to Middleburg. Take Long Bay Rd. Left on Old Jennings Rd. Follow signs. Picnic table, fire ring, pít toilet. Old campground deep in the woods. Many white spotted ticks. No trails, but miles of unpaved road. I left before first…

Could have been great

Have waited six months into our RV life to start reviews for fair comparisons. Spent 7 nights. This is one of the oddest places we have stayed. On arrival we were thrilled. Less than 10 sites all tucked in the woods, seemed like paradise. Sites are huge and private. But the woods seemed….dead. In…

Bluff Lake and Round Top

Spent 2 nights in the swamp. Rented canoes and took shuttle to Launch at kingfisher landing, spent 1st night at Bluff Lake and 2nd at Round Top. Ended at SCRA/okefenokee adventures. Platforms in great shape. Bluff lake had a table and benches which was very nice. Beautiful views at Round Top but no…

Great Campground !

Located on the beach and withing walking distance to Downtown Fernandina Beach where you will find shopping, restaurants and lots more. RV campsites are a bit close to each other other that a very nice facility and worth the visit !

Awesome location

We stayed here this weekend and had a blast. The campsites are located walking distance to the water. It wasn’t at all crowded and the campsite had a decent amount of privacy. Dogs are allowed at the campsite but not on the beaches or coastlines. Fernandina Beach is a cool town with tons to do! We…

One of those places

One of those places that makes you feel blessed to live in the South East. Literally in the middle of no where while still being a reasonable drive from Central Florida. Some campsites were small some did not have great drainage. Those are the cons. We had site 48 and from what I saw it was the…
