Huck's RV Park

As you’re heading either north or south up or down I-95, just a smidge north of the FL-GA state line, you’ll need to have your eyes peeled or GPS set in order to find Huck’s RV Park. Whether you are merely stopping here for an overnight lay-up or using this particular location to access the greater Kingsland and St. Marys area, Huck’s is a great spot for you to consider, especially given the price point, which seems incredibly fair given the location, amenities and local surroundings.

With regards to the campground itself, there’s really level grass spots throughout the park with concrete patios provided alongside each slip. The slots themselves are decent sized and while some areas feel a bit closer together than others, overall we felt like each site was fairly spacious all while being completely surrounded by a rather thick forested perimeter that blots out both traffic noise and visuals. The lot itself is about the entire size of a single football field with 2 lanes that dissect the otherwise open field with 4 angled back-in and 39 pull-through slots offering room for RVs from 40’ to 65’ lengths. The entire park features freshly poured asphalt driving paths, so despite being out in the woods, you’ll appreciate a bit of modern convenience.

From an amenities standpoint, Huck’s packs a decent punch with spectacularly clean – dare I say brand, spanking new – restroom and shower facilities located smack dab right in the middle of the RV park. You’ll also find a very nice recreation room complete with a dart board, juke box, widescreen TVs, ATM, WiFi, community library and billiards table as well as an on-site laundry room and even a small fenced doggie park for your K9 friends. Of course, there’s the standard FHUs complete with 30 / 50 amp electric, water and sewage. Very noteworthy is a makeshift pub and restaurant on-site offering drafts, canned & bottled beer as well as wine along with some light food fare such as wings and sandwiches. You’ll also discover a small market perfect for picking up any RV supplies.

Insider’s Tips? Here’s a few: (1) IMHO the best sites (#33-#43) are those located furthest north on the edge of the park’s perimeter, which will set you furthest away from the frontage road as well as the hustling & bustling highway you just escaped from; (2) If you need to load up on anything more substantial than what might be provided here, there’s a Dollar General Store, BP and Circle K truck stop just across the street from Huck’s, but for anything more substantial than this, you’ll need to head due south to Kingsland;  (3) Unlike most spots that sit a stone’s throw distance form I-95, nearby you’ll find a handful of local restaurants like Doo Dad’s, Bird Boxx, Karv Bistro, Steffans Diner and Bogey’s Bar & Grille for some very decent down-home Southern cooking; and (4) If you’re a tent camper, you won’t find a home here at Huck’s, but luckily, if you are looking for a spot, just a 20 minute drive east from here is Crooked River SP, which is arguably one of the best SPs in all of the Peach State!
