Do better
We have always loved staying here and have never had a problem and everything was good this time except for the bathhouse. The whole time we stayed it was not cleaned up at all. I raved to my friends that it was a nice clean bathhouse and was embarrassed at the condition it was kept during my stay.
Love it!
Very friendly people, gorgeous views and their bathhouse is top tier! Overall it’s quiet.
River front parking
Was peaceful and beautiful. Has free wifi, showers and a ma and pa store in camp. Has a train track across the water and big playground if u have kids. Great stay
Fish camp
This park seems more like a fish camp to me. Located on the Altamaha River, it fills mostly with locals and their boats on the weekend. Seems a bit pricey for slide to awning parking. Reserve a week, get one day free. It has a handicapped accessible store with groceries and fishing tackle. A kitchen serves breakfast and sandwiches from time to time with a few covered tables and chairs outside. Gasoline is available on sight. The swimming area is the boat ramp. I needed a spot for a week, thats what I got.
Great site!
Went to the site for an overnight tent camp with my son. Campground was nice, and tent site had power, water, area for car to be parked tend to be set up and food to be cooked. Amenities are great. Bathhouse super close to tent sites. Swimming area really fun. Only downside was boat ramps were unusually busy so the swimming area was a bit exhaust filled for a little while. Play ground was fun plenty of areas to explore with kids. Overall a great site and I will return.
Decent campground
Great place to camp if you have a boat. Shore fishing is limited. They have a fishing pier, but it’s small and you have limited areas to cast. The campsites are close, but they have grills and tables at every site. They have good rates. I paid $16 for a Saturday night. Not a bad campground at all.
