Not too bad of a campground

For starters, checking in was easy. The staff is very friendly. Amenities(laundry, pool, game room, rec hall, etc.) are ok. The sites are, for the most part, spacious. However, when it rains, it becomes muddy, and some areas(such as our site) retain water for several days afterwards. Normally, this is not a big deal, but we were there when Nicile came through and it was wet. Thank goodness the storm wasn't too bad for that area. Nearby shops and such are within 10 miles(gas, groceries, restaurants, flea markets, etc.). Overall, a nice park, but I wouldn't go during the rainy season in Florida. Even humans can stroll along the fence and talk to cows. The highway near here quiets down later in the evening, and the park is very quiet after hours.

Beautiful location

We loved this campground! Feels like you are far from civilization. Next to a beautiful pasture and nestled among oak trees, it is quiet and far enough off of the busy road but so close to stores and restaurants and The Villages. We came to visit grandparents and loved the east drive to the villages. The pool is great and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend this campground.

Nice Thousand Trails Campground - lots of space!

Beautiful location off of a major highway but due to lots of trees - very little road noise.  Sites were huge!! Semi shaded with picnic tables and great full hookups.  Nice roads to walk your dog.  We stayed a week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.  Close to the Villages with lots to do.  Easy drive to Disney but we never did go.  We did drive over to the gulf coast and it was a fairly easy trip.  Local staff was very nice and helpful.  They do receive mail for you as well.  We were a little disappointed that the pool was closed  while we were there.

Nice campground with paved roads and plenty of large pull thru sites.

Quiet campground near I-75 and Florida turnpike. Pool is small but very clean. Campground is well maintained with open sites up front and more shaded sites in the back section. Owners were nice and helpful. We stayed three weeks and will definitely be back there again.
