Jam-Packed Lot Near Tons Of Shopping

Just east of The Avenues and right off Southside Blvd, this Home Depot is easy to reach but sits in a heavily trafficked part of Jacksonville, so expect a busy lot and plenty of activity. Parking is relatively tight; your best bets are the far west side closest to Southside Blvd or the tree-lined northern edge when it isn’t occupied by rental equipment.

The pavement is fairly level although there are decent cracks and some divots here and there, and while the surroundings warrant some awareness after dark, regular nighttime security patrols were reassuring. For food, Five Guys, Chick-fil-A and Miller’s Ale House are close by, while Target and Aldi are imbedded in this retail center providing easy opportunities to stock up. Convenient and perfectly workable for one night, but not a spot I’d choose for peace and quiet.

Insider’s Tip: Try the northern edge first as the trees provide very welcome shade, particularly in a hot Floridian summer as well as a little separation from the busiest part of the lot.

Happy Overnighting!
