St. Pete rest area (north)

This dispersed camping area sits along a roadside rest stop in Tierra Verde, providing basic overnight parking for self-contained RVs and campers. The location functions as a simple pullover spot rather than a developed campground, with no hookups, restrooms, or designated sites. Campers use it primarily as a convenient stopping point while traveling through the area.

The rest area operates under standard highway rest stop rules, typically allowing stays of a few hours rather than extended camping. RVs and larger vehicles can access the paved parking area, though space may be limited during busy travel periods. For more established camping with amenities, Fort Desoto Campground offers full facilities three miles southwest.
