Jenny Ridge is a year-round RV park located in south-east Georgia.

We are located 40 miles north of Jacksonville, FL,

50 miles to the Golden Isles of Jekyll Island, St. Simon's Island & Sea Island,

and 35 miles south of Waycross, GA.

Groceries, fuel, gift shops and local eateries are all within a 1 mile drive.

Jenny Ridge hosts a total of 55 paved sites, with city water and sewer.

All of our buildings are handicap accessible.

We can accommodate up to 100ft RV's, with 44 pull-thru and 11 back-in spaces

& 20/30/50 amp service with full hookups.

Laundry facility onsite.

Located in southeast Georgia, the Okefenokee Swamp is one of the largest intact freshwater wetlands in the world. Nearly all of the swamp and some of the neighboring uplands were set aside as the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge in 1937 and now total over 407,000 acres. One of the most unique experiences a visitor can have is camping in the vast and pristine swamp. With approximately 120 miles of water trails, seven overnight camping platforms and two interior island campsites, Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge offers visitors from all over the country (and the world) a unique recreation experience.   
  
**Planning**  
When you make your reservation, you will be reserving a camping platform (or island) or series of platforms. The trails are designated by different colors and one trip may take you on several different trails - paddlers should look for markers painted the color of the trail which will tell you what color trail you are on as well as the mile. Some routes enter one part of the refuge and exit at another; please plan accordingly to either hire a shuttle service or provide your own transportation. ## Charges & Cancellations

The $10.00 reservation fee is non-refundable. Reservations cancelled more than 14 days prior to the entry date will be fully refunded less a $15.00 (one person/night reservation fee). Reservations cancelled within 13 days of the entry date will not be refunded. If the refuge must close for any reason, all guests with affected reservations will be notified immediately and will be issued full refunds.

Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge Camping

The good? Let’s start there. The access to St. Mary’s River is pretty outstanding here. The nearby park that you can either launch your fish catching journey from is brilliant – encased by newly erected wooden fencing, fresh new green grass, a fantastic oversized walnut tree and 2-3 brand new wooden picnic tables. While the boat launch is a little steep, it’s fairly manageable, and once you get your seagoing vessel in the water, you should be all set for a great day of snaring a wide range of wonderful fish. This Fish Camp is just a 5 minute drive off HWY 301 and located a mere 10 minutes south of nearby Folkston, which has you covered in case you need any supplies, sundries or a bite to eat that isn’t a fish. 

  

The bad?  Pretty much everything else. The actual campgrounds are jam packed with RV’s, many of which don’t look to be moving on any time soon. It feels like an incredibly tight community where everyone seems to know each other (incredibly too much, from what I could gather). There’s just a single lane that runs through this RV village, with mobile homes on either side of the road, each very closely connected to the RV next to the one in front and behind it. My recommendation? Don’t stay here – move on to higher ground, but mark this place to come back to enjoy EZ and amazing access to St. Mary’s River.
