Fantastic Location

The sites are very tight as other reviews state, but you can’t beat the location. A few steps and you’re onto the beach. Our site is roughly 150’ from the beach itself. An older no frills campground, but there are very few with direct beach access like this. The main road is VERY close to the 4th row but the noise is not as bad as I thought. This particular site has a great tree for shade.

Beach camping

Overall a very nice place to stay. The beach side is the place to be for the beach experience. It is clean, facilities are close and the beach is steps away. It takes several years to get the beachfront spots but the people I talked with said it was worth it and have been coming for 20 years. The only downfall is the tight spaces.

Awesome Camping

We found the staff very friendly and accommodating. We came to the campground on a one day notice and was very pleased. The campground was nearly maintained and the facilities clean. This campground is located on the beach and across the road from the beach with easy access to the beach. The campground it's self is fare enough from downtown town to be out of the high traffic area but only a couple miles to about anything you could possibly want to do. We will be back.

A little gem on the beach!

This was our first trip with an RV and so glad we booked this place. The staff is very nice and friendly. Sites are clean, full hook up 30and 50 amp. They even have staff that comes with a John Deere and will pull in/out your trailer. Big Bathrooms and Laundry in the middle of the park. Pretty quite and great if you have kids. The best part is you’re on the beach. Amazing white sand, clean and gulf waters. Close to so many restaurants . There’s also a trolley that you can catch that will take you to all the fun stops. Can’t wait to come back!

Nice but crowd!

I think it’s better raise de price and have less RV’s. This is my opinion. But it’s ok for the price. The beach it’s priceless. Nice people! Good service.

Ya wanted to camp on the beach? Get cozy with yer neighbor, then

Stayed in a tent (the only one) for five nights at spot #40C during the second week of August. Surrounded by RVs, this was one park where you were nearly forced to relate to your neighbors. Spot #40C is close to the northwestern corner of the lot within the inner loop. It was a thirty pace walk to the sand. The sunsets are breathtaking. The restrooms are ok, air conditioned. There are trash receptacles, and full RV hook ups. Parked the car on the dirt part of the spot, and popped the tent on the concrete pad. It rained a lot this time. There is a seven eleven about 100 meters south of the park on the main road. There are many neat, small-beach-town stores and restaurants along the main road leading down to the park. Ft Myers Beach is a neat town. At this park, only RVs can actually park on the edge of the sand. Tents can be on the inner loop or across the street.

Tight Spots and Busy

Hard to get a reservation down by the beach. The first two nights we stayed across the street. There is a mix of permanent residents in mobile homes and camping sights. The office staff was wonderful these guys know how to get you in your spot. The next two nights we were beach front.. on the beach it was wonderful. The water temperature in July is like a lukewarm bath. We floated in it all day. Great places to eat nearby. If you enjoy walking the little town is not too far. Bikes are better. Tried to get reservations when we checked for August and they were booked solid.

Told we weren’t allowed to camp in our rooftop tent

Called here and was told there was a campsite for $90 a night. I told the woman on the phone that we would be sleeping in our rooftop tent. She said they were not allowed anywhere on the premises and when I asked why she said she just knows they are not allowed they had turned someone away with one before and all she does is answer the phone so she wasn’t sure why. I asked her if we took the tent off if we could stay there, (which we aren’t going to do), she was still trying to talk me out of it saying that the site was on concrete. Decided to not stay there because of price, although it would’ve been interesting to have been kicked out for sleeping in our rooftop tent lol.

Beautiful time

Tjis was a full hook up, which was great!! There were 60 sites lined in 4 rows. We were on the second row and could see the beach from our site. The sunsets were so very pretty. Even though red tide was almost done and the fish dying on the beach, it was still a pleasant time. I can’t wait to go back!!

Slim on space but beautiful view

This campground is located in Fort Myers right on the beach. There are sites right on the sand however, it is near impossible to get one. The sites are side by side and very tight. You will get to know your neighbors well. The office is located across the street which is a little inconvenient. The plus of this campground is definitely the view and direct beach access. We still had a great time even though we were on row 2 or 3. It is a little costly here if you are used to paying state or national campground rates then that could be a turn off. May give it another try during the off-season since I am a resident.
