9,500 acre research station of oak hammock and wire grass pine forest.

to camp here you have to apply for one of the 3 spots available for fall term or spring term per the University of Florida school calendar. Total of 6 spots (12 people).

full hook up camping, laundry and WiFi are exchanged for 16 hrs of work per person per week on the station. Commitment is for Sept-Dec or Jan- April.

Work can range from pulling invasive species of plants to grooming fire trails. Much to learn and they are willing to teach. Must posses basic skills like fence building, tractor work, carpentry, small machine basics (weed eater, gas blower, pressure washer).
