Wilderness

If you like to rough it, this is a great spot. Watch out for the bears. I love this spot!

  • Morning coffee makes everything right.
  • There's nothing here. Just trees to tie a hammock to and a bazillion stars.
  • This is all the gear I used during my camp. (I slept in the back of my Jeep, which was cool!)

Directions

The turnoff for Shanty Pond is 1.8 miles south of the junction of SR 19 and SR 314 in Salt Springs, along SR 19. Watch for the sign directing you onto FR 65 on the right.
