Location is all I can Say. Every direction you look is beautiful, onsite restaurant is great, drinks are good, sites level, might need a little updated showers and bathroom to match price. While area is a 10 of 10. Wish we would’ve stayed much longer.
We stayed at this campground for 3 nights over the 4th of July holiday. The location is excellent and has beautiful views of the mountains surrounding it. Town is close by and you can walk to it via the river walk that runs alongside the RV park. You can watch the fireworks right from the campground. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. The bathrooms were clean and the showers looked ok but we never used them so I can't say anymore about them. The campground is dog friendly. The downside is the sites are very close together. Some of the sites are a little larger so you would have a little more space. We had a picnic table and electric, sewer and water hookups. We had a river side site but we couldn't actually see the river due to the large berm behind the camper. We were able to use our gas fire pit so it was no big deal that they don't allow wood fires. They do rent gas firepits if you don't have one. All in all this was a nice campground. I would recommend it.
This place was absolutely wonderful!! Need more than 2 days to explore everything, Million Dollar Highway, Trials, Ouray itself!! So many things to do. Box Canyon…..so much. Excellent foodie town! Only downside to this campground is no wood burning fires!!! We couldn’t even use our Solo Stove! You can rent propane fire pits
This place is absolutely beautiful! Very clean. It was worth the money the only downfall was we didn’t have more time here. Oh and this town is amazing! We came from the desert so when we go out of the truck and it was 30 degrees and it got to 19 that night … winter has arrived just for us🙂
Gorgeous views and they have some some huge pull through sites for big rigs.
We loved how close it was to downtown Ouray and the hot springs. We stayed two nights on an extra wide riverfront side site and had plenty of room. Clean bathrooms, too!
Here for over a week! Beautiful spot! Yes, it is by the road, but I promise you wont care. Fun little walking path that takes you to town or just to walk around the river that runs behind the campground. It is truly a breath taking spot. We are in site 30 to start which is a double site by the water. Great! Next site is 21, which is smaller, but still great spot. Come for the views, stay for the memories!
Gorgeous spot! We loved the trail into town - an easy walk to the hot springs pool or to grab something to eat. The campground is clean and offers full hookups. No fire rings, but there is a communal fire pit. It’s a little less rustic than our preferred type of CO camping, but the location and beautiful views definitely make up for that. My one complaint is that the outer side of the “trees loop” is very close to the highway and we had lots of car noise, but again, plenty of positives that off set this. We stayed 3 nights and would happily come back again!
When our vacation had to be cut short, the staff at ORR went above and beyond to accommodate us. When I expressed my gratitude for their kindness and care, Amber told me, “We just try to treat people the way we want to be treated “. What a great business model! Make no mistake, Ouray is breathtaking and ORR is perfectly located for all the area has to offer…but what will make us repeat visitors is the incredible staff at ORR.
That’s basically it. Close to everything and priced reasonably
I opted for a riverfront site. It was worth the extra $10. Sites are decently spaced, have full hookups and ok WiFi. The walk to town is easy and pretty. There is gas, laundry, clean bathrooms, a cafe and store onsite. The views were amazing!
Great location, good customer service, very convenient. Not my taste due to lack of trees and green spaces.
Nestled in a valley with beautiful view next to Uncompahgre River with wonderful walking path. Gravel parking right off hwy 550. Laundry, showers, restaurant. Primitive cabins and fully equipped cabins. Very friendly staff. Pet friendly. Close to uptown shopping and eating & grocery store. Pull thru and back in sites. Overflow parking for extra vehicles for a charge. Down side-you have to trailer to trailheads for SXS riding. Most tail heads are small parking areas but the riding in the mountains is priceless. Been here twice, same site and would go again.
Had a premium site on the river.. Nice people who work there. Sites are packed in and you have a lovely view of the sewer connections etc. Your close to everything. Wifi did not work were we where but worked at the checkin office
Amazing location along Uncompahgre River. Sites are close together but the views are beautiful. Full hook-ups, 50 & 30 amp. Hard to talk to much about RV location as we did not spend much time there, exploring area is a must!! Overall, other than tight sites, the stay was amazing with great 360 degree mountain views.
Pros: Great view of the mountains with river next to park. Walking trail along river into town from park, not a short walk though.
Cons: Small sites with little over flow parking.
We were only here for one night but would definitely stay here again!
They have a large facility with RV sites, look liked some small cabins to rent, restaurant, laundry mat and probably some other things we didn’t get a chance to see. Also had propane fill-up on site. It is conveniently located along the river north of town. The river has a walking trail which leads to the hot springs and town.
The hosts were super nice and easy to communicate with. They text you all the information after you make your reservation which was super helpful. The location is super clean and well maintained.
This is a very nice RV park, and it’s four stars because it’s definitely priced as such, in their defense it’s a small mountain town, everything is over priced. That’s how mountain towns stay in business.
PROS: the river walk into town is so beautiful! The park is maintained with pride, hook ups and WiFi are great!! Staff is super helpful and friendly. Great amenities and stellar view
Cons: if you liked camping to be in nature, look elsewhere.
Well kept, very clean, cafe on site, great food
