With full hookups and level sites spread across open terrain, Idaho Springs RV Resort & Campground operates as a well-managed facility near the I-70 corridor. The resort requires reservations and accommodates pets, with nightly rates ranging from $65-$120 depending on site selection and season.
Campers consistently note the cleanliness of both individual sites and common areas throughout the property. The shower facilities receive particular mention for their spacious design, providing ample room for changing and storage. Site 39 draws positive feedback for its level parking pad and mountain views. An on-site store stocks camping essentials and local items, eliminating trips back to town for forgotten supplies.
The location provides easy road access without the steep grades or tight switchbacks common to mountain campgrounds. While I-70 traffic remains audible, "Very quiet in comparison to all the other campsites," according to Hannah H.. The property serves as a practical base camp for exploring the historic downtown area and surrounding Clear Creek County attractions.
Campers seeking a more rustic experience might consider Clear creek getaway, located less than a mile away with creek access and dispersed-style camping.
