Description
A peaceful Mountain View site 1 mile from the paved road on well maintained county roads. Located in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains on 10 acres. It has views of four 14,000 foot peaks in the Blanca Massif. The San Luis Valley is the largest alpine valley in North America. Fiddler's Green is on the Eastern end of the Valley. The property is 42 miles from the Great Sand Dunes National Park. Nearby is the town of Fort Garland with a historical museum, shopping, restaurants, hardware and fuel. Star gazing is amazing as there is no light pollution. Deer roam the area and you can hear the occasional coyote pack at night. There is one site available. Suitable even for large rigs. Suitable for two campers if you're traveling together. Just reserve for an additional vehicle. Campers must be self-contained. Food should not be left outside as it will draw wildlife. One pet is allowed and must be on a leash. Garbage is "pack it in, pack it out". County fire restrictions are in place. No outside fires. Elevation is 8,500 feet. This is the Land of Cool Sunshine".
