The RV section occupies a hillside and runs mostly open, with limited shade and sites that vary considerably in privacy. Some spots, particularly those bordered by bushes on the sides, give reasonable separation from neighbors; others sit close together with little buffer. Sites accommodate rigs up to 45 feet and include full hookups with electric, water, and sewer. Tent campers should note that gear must be hauled in rather than parked beside the site, which rules out van setups. Bathrooms and showers are housed in the same building as the camp store and have drawn repeated mention for cleanliness. Showers have no time limit. Laundry is available around the clock. Located next to the WEST entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, nested in the beautiful mountain town of Grand Lake is a quiet place to camp in the mountains. The campground offers spacious back-in RV sites, rustic cabins, and tent sites. We also offer a general store, 24 hour laundry, a TV lounge and game room. Grand Lake is a classic when it comes to mountain towns. With its wooden sidewalks and wonderful restaurants, it also offers swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, motor sports, fishing and, of course, the magnificent Rocky Mountain National Park with hundreds of miles to hike and explore. And if you want a star show, the Milky Way in all her splendor is easily visible from the campground.
