Swimming, fishing, and lakeside access draw campers to this US Forest Service site in White River National Forest, set at 8,000 feet near Heeney, Colorado. Sites sit close to the lake shore, with a short walk reaching spots suitable for swimming or fishing. Weekends fill fast, typically by Thursday afternoon, so weekday visits offer noticeably more space. RVs are limited to 22 feet, though a few pull-through sites and at least one larger rig have fit the layout. Anglers and group campers tend to get the most out of this spot, while those wanting separation between sites may want to browse campgrounds near White River National Forest before committing.
