Fishing draws visitors to Yellow Creek, which borders Humbug Valley and sits roughly 8 miles down a maintained gravel road. The road handles smaller RVs without trouble. County-managed and less trafficked than nearby Lake Almanor or Butt Valley, the campground provides toilets, picnic tables, and cell service. Anglers and campers who want fewer neighbors tend to find it a reliable alternative. On the way in, a historic Maidu soda spring marks the entrance road.
