Beautiful spot if you’re by the lake

We showed up on a Saturday night not expecting to find anything. Ended up getting what I believe was the best spot in the campground, 71. Talked to a neighbor and she said there was a big party there but they left that morning. Steep walk down to the lake but so worth it. The camp host talked to our neighbor for over an hour which seemed a little weird but I’m very introverted lol. This was definitely one of my favorite spots.

3.5 Stars

Nice well shaded campground, some sites enjoy lake views although Trinity Lake is very low at this point. Site 67 is a nice size, lots of space between adjacent sites. Two tent flats, table and fire ring. Some sites have bear boxes, 67 does not. Close but not too close to the bathroom. Camp host was friendly. Easy walk/ drive to the lake. I would check site map and reviews if possible, some sites looked very small and unappealing while others were very spacious.(67) No firewood for sale on site. Overall campground was nice and site 67 in particular was very good. 3.5 Stars.

Chill spot. Bring a DD if you want to drink on the water.

Went with a big group, nine. Had plenty of space for five tents and several nicely placed trees for hammocking. The sight has two full size picnic tables and a fresh water spout. Solid fire pit. Bear proof cabinet for dry storage. It was not as close to the lake as we would have liked, we had to drive to get there, but the water was also very low. Also, the closest place to get ice was about a half hour drive. I would definitely go back.
