Trinity National Forest's Tannery Gulch Campground sits along Trinity Lake in Trinity Center, California, managed by the US Forest Service with sites accommodating RVs up to 40 feet. Shade is a consistent feature across the campground, though site size varies considerably, with some spots notably spacious and others quite small. Reviewers note that lake access requires either a short drive or a steep walk down depending on which site you land. Water levels on Trinity Lake have run low in recent years, which affects the shoreline experience. Reservations are available and worth booking in advance, as the campground draws crowds, particularly on summer weekends. No firewood is sold on-site, so bring your own supply. Campers exploring camping near Trinity National Forest will find this one of the more amenity-complete options, with drinking water, showers, toilets, and trash service all provided. Check individual site reviews before reserving, since site quality here varies more than at many comparable campgrounds.
