Stoddard Wells Road

Off the main highway in the high desert northeast of Apple Valley, Stoddard Wells Road provides dispersed camping access across Bureau of Land Management terrain. This drive-in area allows campers to select their own sites along the dirt road network, with no designated spots or reservations required.

The open desert landscape offers unobstructed views across the Mojave, though shade remains limited to what campers bring themselves. Road conditions vary depending on recent weather, and high-clearance vehicles handle the terrain more reliably than standard cars. Cell service proves spotty throughout most of the area.
