Catholic-run Shepherd's Trail Catholic Campground sits in forested terrain outside Dulzura, welcoming all visitors regardless of faith background. The private facility provides full hookups for RVs including electric, water, and sewer connections, plus restrooms and hot showers for tent campers. Both drive-in and walk-in sites accommodate different camping styles.
Staff describe the property as a sanctuary with multiple on-site activities available to guests. Nightly rates range from $30-$60 depending on site selection and amenities needed. Pets join their owners here, and campfires provide evening gathering spots. Reservations help secure preferred dates during busy periods.
Description
Shepherd's Trail Catholic Campground is a sanctuary and a place where ALL communities, churches, youth organizations, and families in San Diego County can call a home. Situated within the hills and valleys of Jamul and bordering Lyons Peak of Cleveland National Forest, Shepherd's Trail is composed of over 80 acres of natural and serene beauty. Activities on site include a baseball field, volleyball court, swimming pool, basketball court, volleyball court, and baseball field. There are thousands of rare Engelmann oak trees on site that provide shade and a place to relax. RV spots currently do not have full hookups but will by mid to end of Summer 2022! Check with host before booking.
Also located on the property is Shepherd's Ranch- a working cattle and sheep ranch. Cows are FREE-RANGE and roam the property grazing the pastures- they are a pleasant sight to see and keep to themselves.
