San Martin Top Dispersed — Los Padres NF

The Santa Lucia coastal range of Los Padres National Forest holds San Martin Top, which sits above the Big Sur shoreline at roughly 2,700 feet, where forested spurs off Los Burros Road lead to a mix of open ocean-view clearings and tree-sheltered pullouts. The access track is extremely narrow and overgrown — 4WD and high clearance are essential, and anything larger than a compact SUV or small van will likely scrape through. Cell signal is marginal but usable with a signal booster; the dense canopy blocks satellite dish line-of-sight.
