Raw desert terrain and open sky define the experience at Pride Rock Dispersed, a free BLM site outside Landers in California's high desert. Managed by the BLM Barstow Field Office, it allows campfires, pets, and alcohol, with cell service available. No water or hookups are on-site. Campers should bring all supplies and plan for self-sufficient stays. Late fall through early spring tends to offer the most manageable temperatures in this part of the Mojave.
