Managed by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, Finney Lake Camp sits within the Imperial Wildlife Area outside Calipatria, a dispersed site along the edge of Finney Lake. Navigation requires attention: GPS often routes drivers to the wrong end of Williams Road, so the correct approach runs via Titsworth to Smith to Williams. Flies and odor near the water are worth factoring into expectations. The site accommodates big rigs, allows pets and campfires, and has cell service. Campers wanting developed facilities nearby can consider Wiest Lake Park to the southeast.
